The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will:

• Identify and assess investment opportunities across the global power and water sectors.
• Establish and manage strategic relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including contractors, developers, partners, and consultants.
• Analyse market, economic, regulatory, and competitive trends to identify new avenues for growth.
• Lead negotiations and manage business partnerships to achieve successful outcomes.
• Oversee construction activities, track progress, manage risks, budgets, and ensure project performance.
• Prepare and deliver detailed feasibility, technical, and business analyses, collaborating closely with Finance, M&A, and other internal teams.
• Develop and implement team strategies aligning with overall corporate objectives.
• Motivate, develop, and lead a high-performing, multicultural team within a fast-paced environment.
• Provide senior leadership with insights and recommendations for new business ventures.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
• 12+ years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of the power, energy, and water sectors and familiarity with international markets.
• Proven success in business development, investment, growth strategy, and change management.
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience across diverse, multicultural work environments.
• Fluency in English required; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of Qatar and GCC business culture and environment.
